Belle Encore Consignor Agreement
1. Welcome to Belle Encore
Thank you for choosing Belle Encore to give your beautiful, pre-loved clothing a new chapter.
This agreement explains how we manage your garments, how you receive your earnings and what happens to items that remain unsold.
2. Consignment Period
Accepted garments will be offered for sale for 60 days, beginning on the date they are entered into Belle Encore's inventory.
Belle Encore reserves the right to determine which garments are accepted for consignment and how they are displayed and marketed.
3. Pricing & Reduce to Sell
Belle Encore determines the selling price of accepted garments.
To give each item the best opportunity to find a new home, Belle Encore may reduce prices during the consignment period, taking into consideration time on display, seasonal relevance, customer demand and stock levels.
Not all garments will necessarily be reduced.
4. Consignor Earnings
Consignors select one of the following earnings options:
50% Store Credit — Receive 50% of the final selling price as Belle Encore store credit, redeemable towards purchases in our boutique.
25% Cash Payout — Receive 25% of the final selling price as a cash payout, made by Interac e-Transfer.
Earnings are calculated on the actual final selling price, excluding applicable sales taxes, including where an item has been reduced.
5. Payments & Store Credit
Consignor earnings become available as items sell. There is no requirement to wait until the end of the 60-day consignment period.
Store credit is maintained electronically against the consignor's account.
Cash payouts are made by Interac e-Transfer upon request. Belle Encore does not issue cash payouts or paper cheques.
6. Unsold Garments — After 60 Days
At the end of the 60-day consignment period, consignors have two options:
Option 1 — Collect Your Garments
You may arrange to collect your unsold garments within 2 Belle Encore Business Days following the end of the consignment period.
Garments not collected within this period become the property of Belle Encore, which may continue selling them, reduce their prices or donate them to a charity of our choosing.
Option 2 — Leave Your Garments With Belle Encore
You may choose to leave your unsold garments with Belle Encore.
At the end of the 60-day consignment period, ownership transfers to Belle Encore. We may continue offering these garments for sale, reduce their prices or donate them to a charitable organization of our choosing.
No further commission, cash payout or store credit is earned on garments sold after the original 60-day period.
Any earnings accumulated during the consignment period remain payable under the agreed terms.
For this agreement, a Belle Encore Business Day means a day on which the boutique is open to customers.
7. Paperless Consignment
Belle Encore operates a paperless consignment process.
Registration, agreement acceptance, consignor records and payment communications are managed electronically.
Consignors agree to provide accurate contact information and keep their email address and payment details up to date.
8. Agreement & Acceptance
By accepting this agreement, the consignor confirms that they have read, understood and agree to Belle Encore's consignment terms, including the commission structure, 60-day consignment period, pricing policies and arrangements for unsold garments.
9. Lost or Damaged Garments
Belle Encore takes reasonable care in handling, displaying and storing consigned garments.
In the unlikely event that a garment is lost, stolen or damaged while in Belle Encore's care, we will review the circumstances individually and work with the consignor in good faith to reach a fair and reasonable resolution.
Any compensation, where appropriate, will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the garment's condition, agreed selling price and the circumstances of the loss or damage.
